Sabuko - Society for Nature Conservation is looking for a strategic planning trainer, for project Youth Led Advocacy for Wildlife Conservation (WLAWC)

Expected duration: 16 - 22 February

Background: Society for nature conservation SABUKO, with partner organizations BSPB (Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds) and DD (Doga Derneg) and with support of the European Commission starts a new Project called "Youth-led advocacy for wildlife conservation". (YLAWC)

The project "Youth-led advocacy for wildlife conservation" is an international project at the cross-road between education, youth and training sectors.

The project is designed to respond specific challenges faced in Georgia, while remaining in the mandate of the applicant and partner organisations: implementing wildlife conservation actions, promoting biodiversity and educating the younger generation to take an active lead in environmental protection actions, including policy advocacy.

The project`s overall aim is to enhance the capacity of youth and local communities to mobilise for the conservation of natural ecosystems and of endemic species of fauna and flora, and to advocate for improved wildlife protection policies in Georgia.


** The objectives of developing a strategic plan are mainly to: define mission, vision, values, objectives and strategy (SWOT analysis)
** Define network proposition, strategic priorities and action plans
** Develop more effective communication and collaboration
** Develop an effective internal evaluation mechanism
** Develop a sustainable fundraising strategy
** Develop Partnership and communication strategy.
** Develop Long term Strategic Planning.
** Develop Expected impact and outcomes of Strategy

Purpose: After training participant will establishment two eco-hubs in their regions (Adjara and kakheti) and purpose of the strategic planning is to develop a 5-years strategic plan specific action plans and monitoring and evaluation schemes, to revised strategic framework for mobilisation of wildlife conservation and advocacy.

Profile/Consultancy Requirements

** Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in strategic planning; experience in organizational and advocacy management;
** Proven excellent communication and facilitation skills;
** Highly motivated and sociable;
** Expertise and experience in strategic planning
** Graduate degree with specialism in strategic planning or relevant field such as Management (Environmental magagment), Economics, policy development, advocacy etc
** Language skills (English, Georgian)
** Understanding of the context of Georgian wildlife (Obligatory)

The trainer`s travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the project.
