Myway Airlines is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Cost Accountant.
Location: Georgia, Tbilisi Hualing Plaza
Employment Type:Full-time 10:00 18:00
1. Cost Accounting and Allocation:
** Establish and improve the airline cost accounting system, defining cost allocation standards and methods;
** Responsible for the entry and allocation of flight operating costs, including fuel, spare parts consumption, crew expenses, route charges, ground handling fees, and airport charges;
** Perform unit cost analysis (Cost per ASK / Cost per Block Hour) based on route, aircraft type, and flight segment;
** Conduct cost accounting for different business models such as ACMI, charter, and scheduled flights;
** Handle the daily entry, allocation, and statistical reporting of training expenses (pilots, cabin crew, maintenance engineers, etc.) to support human resource cost management.
2. Expense Control and Analysis:
** Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost analysis reports to identify anomalies or variances;
** Compare actual results with budget, conduct variance analysis, and provide optimization suggestions;
** Perform detailed entry, tracking, and control of all cost items (including fuel, leasing, maintenance, spare parts, training expenses, etc.);
** Collaborate with Operations and the Finance Manager to drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting Support
** Assist in the preparation of the company`s annual operating cost budget;
** Participate in developing cost forecasting models to support financial assessments for route openings, additional flights, and charter operations;
** Track budget execution and provide regular variance analysis reports.
4. Compliance and Reporting:
** Ensure cost accounting complies with accounting standards, civil aviation authority requirements, and tax regulations;
** Prepare internal management reports and provide cost data required by external regulators on time;
** Support audit work by providing cost-related vouchers and explanations.
5. Systems and Process Management:
** Proficiently use airline financial systems (such as FMG, Navision, SAP, or industry-specific systems) for cost entry and accounting;
** Establish cost data entry standards to ensure daily accuracy and completeness;
** Regularly coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Maintenance, Spare Parts, and Training departments to ensure data consistency;
** Be proficient in using Excel to manage, analyze, and present company financial and cost data.
6. Other Responsibilities:
** Participate in route profitability analysis and assist management in making route adjustment decisions;
** Assist the Finance Manager or Finance Director in cost review and management reporting;
** Communicate with partners regarding account balances and payment matters;
** Complete other cost accounting and management tasks assigned by superiors;
Be diligent, responsible, detail-oriented, able to follow management instructions, and proficient in using Excel.
