The Georgian American University announces a vacancy for the position of Coordinator of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Training Center at the School of Medicine.
Georgian American University (GAU) is a dynamic and internationally oriented private university committed to academic excellence, innovation, and student-centered education. The GAU School of Medicine offers an integrated, English-language MD program designed to prepare globally competent physicians.
As part of its long-term academic development, GAU is establishing a state-of-the-art Medical Simulation Center aligned with international standards. This center will serve as a cornerstone for clinical skills training, OSCE preparation, interprofessional education, and the implementation of simulation-based medical teaching methodologies. The goal is to enhance clinical competence, patient safety awareness, and faculty innovation through high-fidelity simulation and standardized patient interactions.
Job Conditions:

Key Responsibilities:
** Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical simulation center.
** Assist faculty in planning, developing, and implementing simulation scenarios and OSCE stations.
** Set up, operate, and maintain high-fidelity mannequins, task trainers, and AV recording/playback systems.
** Train faculty and staff in simulation equipment use and scenario facilitation.
** Maintain inventory, manage supplies, and coordinate technical maintenance and repairs.
** Ensure safety and confidentiality protocols are followed in all simulation activities.
** Collect, manage, and report data for simulation usage, learner performance, and quality improvement.
** Support the development of policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for simulation operations.
** Contribute to the strategic growth of the center, including future program expansion and technology upgrades.
Qualification Requirements:
** An academic degree of a certified medical doctor and/or a diploma equivalent to a master`s degree in healthcare or biomedical engineering;
** At least 2 years of work experience in simulation-based education, clinical skills training, or medical technologies;
** Strong technical skills, including experience with simulation equipment and audio-video systems;
** Organizational and time management skills;
** Strong communication skills for working with academic and clinical teams;
** Proficiency in English and Georgian languages;
** A certificate in simulation (e.g., CHSE, CHSOS) is desirable;
** Experience in coordinating OSCEs or working with standardized patient programs;
** Experience in academic or clinical teaching is a plus.
