We are currently hiring for the following position: Science Teacher.
Job Description:
Saint George`s International School is seeking a dedicated and versatile Science Teacher to join our academic faculty. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and inquiry-based instruction in foundational high school courses, including Biology, Chemistry, and General Science, guided by the principles of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Education and Certification:
** Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related science field
** Valid teaching certification/license in Science (preferred)
** English Proficiency: Minimum B2 level, preferably C1
Experience:
** Experience teaching science
** Comfort in teaching across scientific disciplines
** Experience with: Lab-based instruction and safety protocols, Scientific inquiry and experimental design, Cross-disciplinary science integration
Knowledge and Skills:
** Strong foundation in biological and chemical sciences
** Familiarity with U.S. science standards (e.g., NGSS) is an advantage
** Ability to foster curiosity and critical thinking in students
** Proficiency in using modern science tools and digital platforms for simulations or virtual labs
Professional Responsibilities:
** Develop and implement hands-on, NGSS-aligned science lessons
** Facilitate lab activities that promote scientific investigation and data analysis
** Monitor and assess student understanding through diverse assessments
** Communicate effectively with students, families, and school administration
** Participate in faculty collaboration, school-wide events, and professional learning communities
