English Teachers for Young Learners — Two Positions
Opus Educational Centre is looking for two English teachers to join our Saturday or Sunday programme for children aged 6-11:
** Local English Teacher
** Native English Teacher
Opus is a small educational centre in Tbilisi. We work with small groups and focus on helping each student make clear and consistent progress.
Both positions are part-time, with a workload of up to 5 teaching hours per week.
Local English Teacher
Responsibilities:
** Teach General English to children aged 6-11 in small groups;
** Work on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and other core language skills;
** Teach within the provided programme and academic framework;
** Adapt classroom activities to students` age, level and learning needs;
** Keep track of students` progress.
Requirements:
** Strong command of English;
** Previous teaching experience in a language centre;
** Experience teaching groups of young learners;
** Ability to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment;
** Reliability and a responsible attitude towards the agreed teaching schedule.
Compensation: 20 GEL net/hour for individual students or pairs and 25 GEL net/hour for groups.
Native English Teacher
Responsibilities:
** Conduct communication-focused lessons with children aged 6-11;
** Focus primarily on pronunciation, speaking and listening;
** Encourage students to use English naturally and confidently during lessons;
** Adapt communication activities to students` age, level and current learning.
Requirements:
** Native English speaker;
** Teaching experience;
** Experience working with young learners;
** Ability to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment;
** Reliability and a responsible attitude towards the agreed teaching schedule.
Compensation: 30 GEL net/hour for individual students or pairs and 35 GEL net/hour for groups.
