Saint George`s International School is seeking a qualified and dynamic Mathematics Teacher to join our American High School Diploma Program. The ideal candidate will teach high school mathematics using a student-centered approach focused on conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and application of knowledge in real-world contexts.
Education and Certification:
** Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field
** Valid teaching certification/license in Mathematics (preferred)
** English Proficiency: Minimum B2 level, preferably C1.
Experience:
** Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level
** Familiarity with: Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and basic Statistics
** Experience with U.S.-based curriculum or international diploma programs is an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills:
** Strong command of mathematical content and pedagogy
** Ability to explain abstract concepts in accessible ways
** Skilled in using digital tools (e.g., Desmos, GeoGebra, graphing calculators) for instruction
** Capable of differentiating instruction for a diverse student body.
Professional Responsibilities:
** Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with U.S. high school math standards
** Assess student learning through varied methods and provide meaningful feedback
** Support students in developing analytical and logical thinking skills
** Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects
** Maintain open communication with students, families, and school staff
