Job Summary
We`re looking for a Senior .NET (and PHP) Developer to support a major project within the European insurance sector. This is a fully remote role that involves working primarily with .NET technologies, while also contributing to and maintaining PHP-based legacy systems or integrations. You will be working with a leading European software consulting company that designs and builds innovative software solutions for clients in the European insurance and banking market.
Key Responsibilities
** Design and develop backend services using .NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core
** Maintain and refactor existing PHP-based modules and services (Laravel, Symfony, or custom frameworks)
** Build and document RESTful APIs and microservices
** Work closely with frontend and DevOps teams on system integration
** Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and QA collaboration
** Ensure high performance, testability, and maintainability of backend systems
Requirements
** 5+ years of experience with .NET technologies (C#, .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core)
** Solid experience working with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Zend
** Strong SQL skills with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL
** Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
** Ability to work with both modern (.NET) and legacy (PHP) codebases
** Experience working in agile, distributed teams
** Bonus: Familiarity with insurance, fintech, or regulated industry domains
