Requirements:
The successful candidate should possess:
** A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a related field;
** Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in tax consulting, tax audit, accounting, or taxation;
** Previous experience in an audit or professional services firm will be considered an advantage;
** Strong knowledge of Georgian tax legislation, tax declaration procedures, and the Georgian Tax Code;
** Experience participating in tax audits, tax reviews, and tax due diligence engagements;
** Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements;
** Experience working with accounting software and the Revenue Service tax portal will be considered an advantage;
** ACCA qualification (completed or in progress) is preferred;
** Good written and verbal communication skills in Georgian and English; knowledge of Russian will be an advantage;
** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail;
** Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines;
** Proactive attitude and willingness to continuously develop professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
** Conduct tax audits and tax reviews in compliance with Georgian tax legislation and the Tax Code;
** Participate in tax due diligence engagements, including pre-investment tax reviews covering all major taxes;
** Cooperate with the financial audit team during audit engagements and provide required supporting documentation;
** Prepare and review tax, payroll, balance sheet, and ledger reconciliations for financial statement purposes;
** Analyze accounting records and financial statements to identify tax risks, discrepancies, and tax optimization opportunities;
** Draft engagement letters, memoranda, reports, and other client deliverables under the supervision of senior management;
** Monitor changes in Georgian tax legislation and communicate relevant updates within the team.
