St. George`s International School is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Chemistry Teacher.
Job Description:
Saint George`s International School is seeking a qualified and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our American High School Diploma Program. The ideal candidate will teach students through a high school chemistry curriculum emphasizing conceptual understanding, laboratory experimentation, and real-world application, aligned with NGSS standards.
Education and Certification:
** Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
** Valid teaching certification/license in Science or Chemistry
** English Proficiency: Minimum B2 level, preferably C1
Experience:
** Experience teaching chemistry at the secondary level
** Experience with U.S.-based curriculum or international high school programs is a plus
Knowledge and Skills:
** Strong grasp of chemistry content and laboratory safety protocols
** Ability to facilitate both hands-on and digital lab investigations
** Skilled in engaging students through problem-solving and inquiry-based learning
** Proficient in using educational technology for instruction and assessment
Professional Responsibilities:
** Plan and implement lessons based on NGSS-aligned curriculum
** Conduct safe and engaging laboratory experiments
** Monitor and support student learning through varied assessment methods
** Communicate regularly with parents, students, and school staff
** Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary and school-wide initiatives
