We`re now looking for a skilled Backend Developer experienced in Kotlin and Java to join our development team.
About the Role:
As a Middle Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building scalable and secure server-side applications that power our gaming platforms. You will work alongside frontend developers, DevOps, and QA to ensure robust API design, clean code, and reliable data management. If you`re passionate about clean architecture, performance, and solving complex challenges - we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities:
** Develop and maintain backend services using Kotlin and Java.
** Design and implement RESTful APIs to support frontend functionality.
** Optimize application performance and scalability.
** Ensure data integrity and security across services.
** Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features.
** Write unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality.
** Participate in code reviews and contribute to backend architecture decisions.
** Troubleshoot and debug production issues as needed.
Requirements:
** 2+ years of professional experience in backend development using Kotlin and/or Java.
** Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, microservices architecture, and API design.
** Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
** Familiarity with Spring Boot or Ktor frameworks.
** Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
** Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices.
** Ability to work in Agile development environments and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have:
** Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
** Background in the gaming, betting, or fintech industries.
** Exposure to message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
** Understanding of event-driven architectures and reactive programming.
