The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Project Assistant (PA) for the EU funded action "Network for Efficiency and Development".

General responsibility: PA is responsible for providing assistance to the project manager in the day-to-day management of the action.

Specific tasks:

** To support efficient Management of the day-to-day activities of the action;
** To coordinate input from the beneficiaries of the action;
** To provide support to the network of external experts and institutional partners to be engaged in activities, both locally and internationally;
** To manage documents` flow (in hardcopy and/or electronic format) and the archive for the action;
** To provide assistance to the project manager in development of midterm and final reports to the contracting authority;
** To liaise with the target municipalities of the action and other external partners involved in the project;
** To provide assistance to the project manager in organizing of international study tours and visibility actions
** To plan, organize and coordinate all field work of the action in close cooperation with the Logistic manager of NALAG;
** To provide secretarial assistance to the evaluation and monitoring missions to the action;
** To assist the project director in Procurement of goods and services need for implementation of the action;
** To provide overall coordination of the staff of NALAG involved in the implementation of this action.

Required qualifications and skills:

** MA in Economics, Public Policy, or Business Administration;
** Extended set of contacts within Georgian municipalities and the central government; international and donor organizations;
** Experience in fundraising for policy and/or academic research and training;
** At least 3 years of experience in an analogous position;
** Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and team-building skills;
** Advanced presentation, writing and reporting skills in English. Knowledge Russian, or another language spoken in the EU member states is an advantage;
** Analytical and strategic thinking.

Duration of the contract: 36 months
Start date: March 1, 2018
Duty station: Tbilisi
Specific conditions: frequent travel to the regions of Georgia
Salary: a competitive rate will be applied based on employment history of the candidate.

The Action "Networking for Efficiency and Development" (N4ED) is an initiative funded by the European Union and implemented by the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) in cooperation with the PMC -Research Centre (PMC -RC) and the Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments (LALREG). Objectives of N4ED are: to promote inclusive economic growth and participative planning at locals; to introduce performance evaluation and monitoring system in target municipalities; to facilitate networking and exchange of good practices between Georgian local Authorities. The action will work in all regions of Georgia.

The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) is a non-for-profit organization established under the provision of the LG code of Georgia by the municipalities and Self-governing cities. Aim of NALAG is promotion of local democracy, decentralization and model of good governance in its member municipalities.
