Background:

The Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on the Conflict Dealt with by the OSCE Minsk Conference is looking for a highly qualified, motivated and experienced professional for the position of the Driver Instructor/Mechanic in the Fund Administration Unit of the Office.

Under close supervision of the Chief of Fund Administration, the incumbent performs the following duties:

** Drives OSCE vehicles to transport the Head of Mission and other authorised personnel of the Mission and participates in ensuring their safety and protection;
** Drives national Staff Members, as instructed by his supervisor, for implementation of different Office tasks; drives international staff members to the monitoring sites (LOC and the border of Azerbaijan and Armenia);
** Delivers and collects mail, documents and other items, meets official personnel at the airport, transports non-OSCE Mission members when requested;
** Ensures that all steps required by the OSCE Rules and Regulations are followed in case of involvement in an accident, or in case that the vehicle breaks down; provides assistance for vehicles and personnel recovery;
** Responsible for proper vehicle documentation, including the monitoring of mileage, fuel spending and appropriate reporting to ensure the effective and efficient use of Mission cars; the incumbent logs official trips, daily km, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc;
** Refuels the Mission vehicles;
** Keeps all Office vehicles in constant order and clean condition;
** Is at permanent disposition in case of emergency;
** Acts as a mechanic of the mission; checks all vehicles in the morning; signs responsible for the day to day, monthly and yearly maintenance of the vehicles, checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.; performs minor repairs or initiates and arranges for major repairs as directed by the Chief Administration and Finance (CFA);
** Performs other duties as assigned.

Necessary qualifications:

** Completed secondary education;
** Previous work experience as a driver and a safe driving record;
** Driver`s license B; knowledge of driving rules and regulations; skills in vehicle repair;
** Good knowledge of Russian and Georgian;
** Flexibility to work overtime hours;
** Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds;
** Familiarity with modern communication technology, including radios and satellite phones for vehicles, is an asset;

Remuneration Package:

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is 725 Euro/month (12 times a year). Social benefits will include OSCE participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund. Appointments are made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale.
