Los Crayfish Hermanos is located next to Gudiashvili Square in the heart of Tbilisi old town, a five minute walk from Freedom Square. We are Tbilisi`s first crayfish bar and we are now looking to hire an assistant for our bar to do waiter/waitress work when we are busy and to help with other tasks when we are quiet.

Hours: 12:30 until closing each day that you work. Working days to be agreed depending on your availability and that of the other team members.
Essential: Fluent in English AND Georgian AND Russian - speaking, reading, and writing.

Personality:

You must be organised and pro-active with a positive can-do attitude and a friendly smiling out-going personality that is keen to engage our customers and help provide the best possible experience when they are with us. We are a small bar and like to provide a personalised service for all of our customers, including taking the time to actually have a chat with them rather than just taking their order and their money. We are also a small team who understand that things need to get done and we all help each other out to ensure that this happens with minimum fuss.

Experience: Previous bar or restaurant experience preferred (with positive references), but far more important is having the above language skills and personality, as well as being willing - and able(!) - to learn

Pay: You will be paid once per month based on a daily rate which is negotiable depending on experience and performance. Our talented chef will also make one big meal for you per day. Tips are shared at the end of each day between each team member that was working on that day. You will also receive a discount on all of our food and drinks.

Interviews: Interviews will be held in person as soon as possible by invitation only. If you are not fluent in English AND Georgian AND Russian then the interview will be cancelled immediately.

Detailed description:

** 30 minutes before opening:
** Putting out the outside tables and chairs
** Cleaning the outside seating area, tables, and chairs
** Updating the outside advertising boards
** Receiving an update from the manager regarding special promotions that day
** Assisting the manager with changing the water in the aquarium
** Asking the manager if he needs help with anything else before opening

During opening:

** Smiling
** Encouraging people to come in to the bar if there are not many customers - this includes standing outside the bar (in the shade) giving out flyers and talking to people as they walk past
** Welcoming customers
** Informing customers of special drinks promotions
** Advising customers about which drink to order if they are unsure
** Being friendly with customers
** Taking customer orders
** Giving all orders to the manager
** Giving food orders to the chef
** Taking crayfish from our in-bar aquarium to the kitchen
** Setting out plates and napkins, etc after a customer has placed a food order
** Collecting bread items that customers order from the local bakery
** Chatting with customers and making them feel at home
** Taking food and drinks to customers
** Demonstrating to customers how to eat crayfish if they have not eaten them before - don`t worry, we will show you how to do this
** Taking away empty glasses and bottles, encouraging customers to order something else
** Taking the bill to the customers when they want to leave
** Processing the payment of the bill with the manager
** Encouraging customers to leave an online review
** Cleaning tables and the floor area around tables immediately after customers leave
** Changing ash trays regularly
** If necessary, washing glasses during the final hour of opening after the chef has left

After closing:

** Securing the outside tables and chairs
** Taking all dirty glasses and bar equipment (e.g., measuring glasses) into the kitchen and rinsing with warm soapy water
** Taking all dirty plates into the kitchen, placing in the sink, and covering with warm water and washing up liquid and leave to soak overnight
** Asking the manager if he needs help with anything else before leaving

Throughout the day:

** Answering the phone if the manager is not available
** Having a good understanding of the full drinks menu
** Making suggestions to the manager to improve the bar
** Translating Georgian into English and Russian for other team members as required
** Purchasing items from shops as required

During quiet periods:

** Helping the manager with administration including scanning and filing documents
** Assisting with tri-language social media posts and helping to create on-line content
** Reviewing documents with the manager
** Anything else the manager requests assistance with
