In frames of EU4YOUTH: Better Skills for Better Transition project

Call Overview:

On February 1st, 2018 Save the Children International launched EU4YOUTH: Better Skills for Better transition Project, which is implemented in 3 countries of Eastern Partnership - Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. This two-year project is financed by European Commission`s EU4YOUTH Program.

The project intends to continue the efforts of Save the Children in supporting equal rights for disadvantaged children and young people and is aimed at developing entrepreneurial potential of young men and women (especially those with fewer opportunities, disadvantaged groups of IDPs, youth with disabilities and NEET youth) by providing access to non-formal education opportunities and increasing their employability.

Save the Children in Georgia is seeking to recruit 10 youth/youth focused organizations in four regions of Georgia: Kakheti, Mtsketa Mtianeti, Shida Kartli and Samegrelo Zemo Svaneti. These organizations must be working in these regions: however, those based in these regions will be prioritized. Two youth workers/educators from selected organizations will be invited to a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on transversal skills in Tbilisi. The training will include recommendations derived from the study on transversal skills, capacity building of educators and innovative teaching methodology. The youth worker completing this ToT will be expected to conduct at least 1 two-day training on Transversal Skills in their local communities for groups of 20 young people. In total, in frames of the project two-day trainings will be provided for 400 youth in the four regions of Georgia.

Eligibility Criteria:

** Proven record of minimum two-year operation in the targeted regions (Kakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Shida Kartli, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti;
** Experience in youth development/empowerment and advocacy;
** Experience in organizing youth focused and/or youth led trainings, workshops, activities;
** Well established organizational structure that includes HR, administrative and financial controls;
** Proven record to fundraising for youth development/empowerment and advocacy work;
** Experience in working in one (or more) of the fields listed below:
** NEET youth - Not in Education, Employment and Training (as defined here the link)
** Internally Displaced Youth (IDP)
** Youth with disabilities
** Organizations working in the field of social entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply. However, this is not an essential criteria.

Selected organizations must be able to support their youth workers in organizing and conducting multiplier trainings locally following the ToT in Tbilisi. All costs including travel, accommodation, food and training materials will be covered by Save the Children for selected participants.

Selection Process:

Save the Children in Georgia will short list applicants and invite them for an interview. Final decision will be made following the interview process.

How to apply:

Documents to be submitted:

** Legal Entity Registration Certificate;
** Organization Charter;
** Proven record of working with any of the following vulnerable youth groups: Not in Education, Employment and Training (NEET) youth, internally displaced youth (IDPs) and youth with disabilities;
** Description of least 3 similar projects implemented by the organization (donors, budgets, dates);
** List of ongoing projects (donors, budgets, dates, project descriptions).
** HR, administrative and financial policies of organization (if applicable)
** A minimum of 3 references familiar with your past similar work;
** CVs of at least 2 youth workers/educators affiliated with the applicant organization, who will be conducting trainings
