Anaklia Development Consortium LLC (ADC) announces an opening for the position of Senior HS (Health and Safety) officer for the Construction Management Unit.

ADC has been selected by the Government of Georgia as a winner of an international tender to develop, construct and operate a deep sea port in Anaklia, Georgia.

General Position Description:

The Senior HS (Health and Safety) officer works with the Project and Field teams to construct a safe and quality project, while implementing and verifying the compliance of the works conducted by contractors with company as well as IFI HS requirements.

This position is responsible for assisting the HSE Manager and project with establishing the HS procedures based on IFI (International Financial Institution) requirements, implementation, monitoring, auditing and reporting. Providing the practicable problem solving solutions and not limited to.

Carry out the day to day operations of HSE department and contribute to the application of effective Health and Safety management requirements by providing hands on technical support on the ground.

Position location - Full time Anaklia based

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

** Provide regular compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
** Maintain relevant HS logs and documentation.
** Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations.
** Prepare applicable HS reports as necessary.
** Provide assistance and advice on HS issues to make recommendations to Project management.
** Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
** Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
** Develop and provide relevant HSE training
** Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.
** Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance
** Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies.
** Perform other work-related tasks as required as assigned
** Comply with all Company and HSE procedures and policies
** Participate and provide assistance in development of company HS procedures in compliance with IFI requirements

Specific Responsibilities (but not limited to):

** Walk the construction site on a regular basis to establish HSE presence and provide support.
** Conduct daily and monthly HS Meetings/Trainings and schedule as needed.
** Write, implement, and manage HS Programs, Policies and Procedures
** Perform Construction site (Inclusive storage and other facilities) HS Inspections
** Ability to evaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE
** Have knowledge and enforce compliance of Regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, and IFI requirements etc.),
including company HSE policies and procedures.
** Ability to oversee Hazardous Waste Storage area and ensure regulatory agency compliance i.e. labeling, containment, proper disposal, documentation, etc.
** Assist in emergency response and provide first aid treatment.
** Oversee Behavior Based / Observation Safety Programs.
** Help develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
** Follow Fall Protection program, inspect all fall protection equipment and maintain inspection records.
** Ability to oversee Safety Incentive Programs.
** Assist in administering and maintaining compliance programs such as LOTO, Excavations, Hot Work, Liftings, Respiratory Protection etc.
** Perform additional duties as assigned by HSE manager.
** Focused on preventive actions and attitude.
** Work hard to improve safety and create system which insures that accidents are avoided.

Qualifications and Skills:

** Bachelor`s Degree in preferably of Medical faculty
** Prefer Associate Degree or certificate in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or minimum of 7-year experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position
** Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
** Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
** Good team player
** Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment
** Willing to work on remote locations 100% of time, different shifts and travel up to 20% of the time.
** Ability and desire to learn and progress within your position
** Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals
** Able to multi-task and work in a fast challenging environment
** Ability to handle pressure and work to challenging deadlines
** Demonstrates excellent organizational skills
** Good knowledge of MS programs for development of Reports, procedures, presentations and etc
** Experience and Knowledge of International Financial Institution (IFI) HS requirements
** Ability to keep the information confidential and secure
